was taken offline quite some time ago.

Even if you bought a Money 2004 CD off eBay for cheap, or borrowed one from
a friend, online services for Money 2004 (downloads from banks, stock
updates, etc) were turned off last September, so you would still have only
limited functionality.

Money 2005 and 2006 had a slightly better method of activation via logging
on to the trial with the Live ID used when purchasing. Only time will tell
if this will continue to work, or if it will die some time after Money 2006
is no longer supported.

Starting with Money 2007, the full version is a separate download from the
trial, so this problem shouldn't happen anymore to ppl that buy Money online
from Microsoft.

in 2003 I downloaded the trial version of Money 2004. I then proceeded to
purchase Money 2004 Deluxe through the upgrade feature of trial version.
Money 2004 Deluxe worked fine until recently when I had to reinstall after a
failure on my computer. I reinstalled from the original trial version and
had hoped to use the product key I received when I upgraded to Money 2004
Deluxe, however, I cannot find any place to insert the product key. I'm now
aware that Microsoft no longer supports Money 2004. So, does anyone have an
idea on how to activate Money 2004 Deluxe from the Money 2004
Trial Version? I'm stuck!
