| Glad you have your solution! (Of course, future year would still mask a transaction misdated in the year to, say, 04.) | Ah! - you are quite right. I changed the view to "current year" from"last three months" and hey presto, the future dates appear. Problem solved - thanks. | What are your register view settings? I'd recommend all transactions for all dates sorted by date. Note that a view setting like last twelve months will not show future transactions. I enter transactions in account registers that are for future dates frequently (even when I was running M02) and have never had them disappear from view if I had the view settings set right. | Thanks for your time. It's quite simple. If I entered that I had withdrawn £10 from the cashpoint but mistakenly put in tomorrows date, it would not appear (but the balance will have been reduced by £10). Indeed, I also entered a "Test" entry allowing for £5. I can't see it but "today's balance" is £285 whereas the "ending balance" is £280. I can't see the transaction but clearly, it has been deducted (& I can't see that in cashflow this time)... | p.s., you never mentioned what version you are dealing with--all of my diagnostics have assumed M03/M04. Well, there's no such thing as a "future payment" that doesn't show in the register (***if*** the view is set correctly) and isn't in Bills & Deposits. There's no third choice. You said you found it in the cash flow forecast transactions. Where do you think these come from? There are only five choices: 1) It's in a transaction register 2) It's a scheduled bill/deposit 3) It's coming from the budget/trends 4) It's coming from the DRP 5) It's one of the Forecast Cash Flow one-time items. Your original post said: - quote - > I have incorrectly inserted a Payment under a future date in Money 2002 in
I interpreted a "payment under a future date in [an] account" that is a> my account. It is a one off transaction. How can I retrieve it to edot it > or delete it other than having to wait for that future date? "transaction" as either 1 or 2. Perhaps you were trying to describe case 5? If you inserted a "one time item" from cash flow forecast that was showing as "cash flow item," then the way to delete is to select it and click delete in the forecast transactions window at the bottom of the forecast cash flow page; maybe this is the way you describe as "there must be an easier way though." Anyway, glad you got your problem solved. | It doesn't show future payments only if they are scheduled bills which is not a transaction in the register. We tried to clear that up earlier. Did you bother looking in Bills & Deposits? | Check the view settings for the register. Make sure you are looking at all transactions, for all dates. This setting should hide no transactions. | It is a transaction in the register. I can't see it because it had a future date. It's not in the register(although the total at the end ook the payment into account). I checked Bills & Deposits & Calendar but couldn't see it there either. | This is a transaction in the register or a scheduled bill? Either way, it's just like any other transaction or bill and I'm not sure how to explain to you how to delete it. If you don't know how to delete any transaction/bill, explaining how to do this for one in the future seems hard. Perhaps you need to change a view setting? | I have incorrectly inserted a Payment under a future date in Money 2002 in my account. It is a one off transaction. How can I retrieve it to edot it or delete it other than having to wait for that future date? May seem a simple question but half an hour of searching hasn't helped me! - Thanks in advance. Foz |
