I'm using MS$ 2006 on two different systems, both running WinXP Pro. Long

that the back and forward mouse buttons were non-functional, although they

I'm also running ZoneAlarm Security Suite for my firewall and anti-virus /
anti-phishing.

The other day on a whim, I added my $ file to the list of ZA's exclusions
from scanning. Since then, $'s performance has improved markedly (which I
had rather expected), but the mouse is now fully functional as well. Go
figure.

Hope this helps others. I'm sure I'm not alone in these experiences.
