Iain:
Since there haven't been any replies, I'll tell you that at least
Money 2006 doesn't have any features that I know of to customize
fiscal periods other than by custom reporting which you already know
about. I think that is what you are looking for--that is to have each
period conform to "your" calendar rather than operate on the standard
monthly calendar.

I believe that Quicken and Quickbooks have the same limitations while
higher end accounting packages do let the user (usually a company)
customize fiscal periods.

Good luck,

M

Default Paid mid-month. but all progress notifications etc. are calendar m

I am paid mid month, yet all my notifications; warnings etc. are all set
against the calendar month, so I can't track my spend against my income.

I have Money2003, so an old version. Are there new features in more recent
versions to cater for mid-month alerts?
For now, I have to use custom dates on my reports and do not use the budget
and alerts.
