| Exactly right. I don't know why they could not have done this in a programatic fashion during the conversion of the file which would have hidden all this nonsense from the user. | If the bills need nuked, there seem to be effects all over the app. You know the maintenance programmers are all that's left when Nuke The Bills is the best solution they can come up with to problems 100% of their own making in their own file. | Just for kicks I nuked the bills. Not clear to me what this has to do with opening the home page, but it reduced opening the home page from 9 minutes to about 15 seconds. The money file structure must really be dorqued. I'm a happy camper now. Al. | Thank you for the quick reply. Setting "open with account list" is fine and comes up quickly. I removed a few more modules from the home page and can get 2006 performance, but the issiue is that I really depend on what is on the home page. I can't imagine that a long term solution is not to use the home page modules. Do you know if a fix is coming? Thanx much. Al. Maybe. More likely it is a "Home" page module problem.> Installation, conversion of money file and an update all went fine. Issue > is that it takes about 9 minutes to open the money file. I would first go to Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings and set the (GeneralDisplay StartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Accoun tListThat should speed up your starting, since it sounds as if the "home" page is probably associated with the slowness. Then Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the BillsAndDeposits and SpendingTracker modules. If you still have a problem when you go to the "home" page, remove all modules. If the problem goes away, you can add things back until the problem does not happen. - quote - > A level 2 repair found nothing wrong. > Performance with 2006 with spending tracker etc was fine. > Would appreciate a point in the right direction. > I went back to 2006 so all is fine now, but need Plus for the 2 year quotes. > Thanx much. > Al. |

| I just installed Money Plus (was running 2006) on my XP Pro.SP2 machine. Installation, conversion of money file and an update all went fine. Issue is that it takes about 9 minutes to open the money file. I removed spend by category and spending tracker from the home page and that made a giant improvment down to about 60 seconds to open. Is this a muke the bills situation? A level 2 repair found nothing wrong. Performance with 2006 with spending tracker etc was fine. Would appreciate a point in the right direction. I went back to 2006 so all is fine now, but need Plus for the 2 year quotes. Thanx much. Al. |
