I don't have any significant delays going from page to page; the program takes less than a minute to "get started". I don't know how much of that is interaction with the internet vs something inherent in the program. --ron |

And . . carry over all categories and accounts into the > new file? Can this be done, and how? The only upside of starting over each fiscal year is that your data file would be smaller. That's not much of an advantage, and I bet the file wouldn't be that much smaller. My current data file is 33MB with data going back at least 10 years. The sample file that came with Money 2007 is almost 7MB. There's almost no difference in the time Money takes to open the two files. There are many disadvantages, the first of which is that you'll have to manually enter a bunch of accounts and categories each year. You'll also be giving up all forecasting, trending, and analysis. If you can't remember when you had your transmission replaced, you'll have to open multiple files until you find the transaction. -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

| Hi, I have 8 years of data and have progressively updated Money throughout the years to 2007 version. I would like to know if it would be better to end each year and start a new Money file accordingly? And . . carry over all categories and accounts into the new file? Can this be done, and how? I appreciate your time and help Pete |
