I figured out how to get a second file in Money Plus, so the previous
question need not be responded to.

I have a different conversion problem. In Quicken, I have two files, one for
dollar bank accounts and one for the pounds sterling bank account. Money Plus
Deluxe has converted the dollar accounts, and I see no way to convert the
sterling account. Did I make a terrible mistake by switching to Money Plus
rather than upgrading Quicken?

I have been doing a bit more digging and Money + "may" convert Quicken 2007.
The reason that MS haven't said definitively that it will, is that they
hadn't finished carrying out comprehensive testing by the time M+ was
released. So it should work but no guarantees.

I know, and I'm highly disappointed in Microsoft, because they are suppose
make my giving Quicken the finger, easy. Now I have to wait. I'm
playing with the free trial version of Money Premium or whatever it's called.
I haven't really checked it out, but I think Money Bill Pay must be like
Quicken Bill Pay. Probably the same company, if it isn't CheckFree. Anyhow,
keep praying because Quicken update are screwing up on Vista. Thanks.

I had better correct that - according to
http://www.microsoft.com/money/freetrial_deluxe.mspx#3 Money + doesn't
follow that rule and only converts up to Quicken 2006.

Money version "n" should be able to convert a file from Quicken version
"n-1". The routine is built in so no extra downloads or imports.

In Money+ (aka M2008) there is a menu entry in File > Convert Quicken File.

Default Quicken 2007 to Money Plus Deluxe/Premium conversion

What's the latest news on a converter. I'm so tired of trying to sort out
problems with Quicken I'm really thinking about jumping to Money. I started
with CheckFree in 1995 and switch to Quicken around 1997 or so. Been using
Quicken and also TurboTax ever since. Now I'm getting tired of the
worthless Quicken's community forum. They don't ever help you solve any
problems. I hope this community is better.
