Things that throw it off seem to be misspellings of the payee name and amounts that aren't exact. I used to have a paycheck that varied by how many days were in the month. That one *never* matched automatically. Your downloaded paycheck should be bold if you haven't accepted it yet. Select the transaction, then click the "Change" button. You'll get a list of all the transactions in that account. Remove the check from any transactions that were matched in error, then add a check to the correct transaction. Click the approval button, and you match is made. You just have to review the numbers and approve it. Since you're doing a paycheck, make sure you set it up as an actual "Paycheck" type. Enter all the details from your pay stub so taxes are easier next year. -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement |

| I downloaded transactions from my bank, which included an automatic payroll deposit. I entered my paycheck as a bill and it shows in advanced register. Both teh downloaded deposit and the automatically entered paycheck (bill) appear in the register. Is there a way to tell MS Money that the two transactions are the same? I.e., to accept the downloaded transaction in a way that will assign all of the correct catagories I set up for my paycheck? I am using MS money plus with advanced register |
