| Thanks for the tips. I have not yet realize the full potential of the product. I tried one of the reports and it answers my needs. (I hadn't even realize the drill down capability.) And the shortcuts that you mentioned makes it convenient. Thanks again for the ideas and Happy New Year. -- Reggie "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Dick Watson wrote: > > At least in the non * Business * editions, there is zero need to do this as > > every report, etc., can be tailored to look at data for a specific year and > > start at zero. > > > "Reggie" <Reggie[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > > news:AFDBCDBA-A628-460B-95C4-79283EB1070E[at]microsoft.com... > > > Is there a way in MS Money 2005 (Small Business) to clear income/expense > > > categories to zero in preparation for the new year. If you click Shortcuts at the top, you can add in some useful> I had found it convenient to use the Banking -> Account Tools -> Categories/Payees path to see what my ytd was for a category. > (2007 was my first year using Money.) shortcut icons including Payees, Categories, AccountList, Portfolio, and more. That will shorten the path to the items. - quote - > Looks like I will have to switch to using the reports to get current year > info as you suggest. > Thanks, again. > Happy New Year. |

| Thanks for your prompt response. I had found it convenient to use the Banking -> Account Tools -Categories/Payees path to see what my ytd was for a category. (2007 was my first year using Money.) Looks like I will have to switch to using the reports to get current year info as you suggest. Thanks, again. | At least in the non * Business * editions, there is zero need to do this as every report, etc., can be tailored to look at data for a specific year and start at zero. | Hello, Is there a way in MS Money 2005 (Small Business) to clear income/expense categories to zero in preparation for the new year. All my categories are personal (rather than business). Thanks. -- Reggie |
