Cal (and Ken) I tried deleting and then adding the accounts; it worked. I think the reason that I had trouble was that I had originally started with MS Money elements, which did not have the cash transactions option, so teh account was stuck as being set up for positions only. Seems like a bug In any case, it is OK now.

MVP (and Steve). Thanks for the information. Now I see I need to enable Cash Transactions. I could not find that check box. I looked in help under "Cash Transactions" and I was directed to do the following: 1. Go to the Portfolio Manager. 2. Right-click the account, and then click See Account Settings. 3. Under General Information, select the Track cash transactions check box. 4. Enter the opening balance, and then click Done. The problem is that there is no "Cash Transactions" box under the general tab (or anywhere else on the account settings page. I am using a just downloaded version of Microsoft Money Plus trial verion. Is the problem that I am using the trial version? Open your investment account. In the left column, click on "Cash Transactions". You'll find your cash transfer there. Free tip: Most brokerages invest your cash balance in an in-house money market-type security. It's your choice whether to track these transactions as actual investments or just ignore them and think of them as cash. Your brokerage might download the cash/in-house transactions for you, in which case your cash side will always be zero. I recommend you think of this as actual cash -- you'll have far fewer transactions to enter. -- Steve B. New Life Home Improvement

I am using Microsoft Money Plus Deluxe (just downloaded latest version) In banking accounts, I can see all tranactions, but in invesment acocunts, all I get is am list of my holdings. For example, I entered a tranasction in a checking account showing a transfer into the investment (brokerage) account, but I do not see any record of that when I look at the investment (brokerage) account. How do I see it?
