Fortunately, I did not purchased it as yet, and I'm using the Canadian
version of 2004

I tried to opened it "FILE/OPEN", that the only way that I know how to open,
then it told me that it had tomodify the format or something to that effect,
and then I got the previous message

Ah, that is your problem. Money Plus (M2008) is only available in the USA
and Japanese version, so your new purchase has to be a USA version which
will not import any Money data other than from those files created with the
USA (or possibly the Canadian) version. So unless your M2004 version is
Canadian, you should return your Money Plus and continue to use your 2004.

That's the exact, complete, message "file cannot be opened"?

And how were you trying to open it? Double clicking on a .MNY file icon?
Letting Money + open the last file you'd opened in M04 all by itself?
File|Open? File|Restore? File|Import?

We're trying to help you, but you are being very unhelpful in providing
necessary and sufficient information to begin to diagnose your issue.

I was expecting it to be opened, so that I could upgrade, but right now I'm

Hi,

I would like to move from the Money 2004 to 2008, but when I tried the trial
version, to see what would happen in the real move, I could not open a copy
of my own financial data.

What can I do
