| I have a UK based version on Microsoft Money 2003. This stopped working with the problem you describe sometime after 17/12/2007. I have tried the suggested corrections without success. There is something going on in the background as initially the forgot password message gave an expired certificate message. This is now taking me to the Windows Live page. |

| I have been in contact with about 5 MS people. They are sending me around from one support engineer to the other and no seems to read what I write. I even re-installed MS Money 2004 which didn't help. I found out that when I click on the "Forgotten your passwod?" link, money tries to open the following site: https://memberservices.passport.com/...RV_ResetPW.asp which cannot be found! When I replace passport.com by passport.net I get a message that the server certificate expired. ""www.passport.net" is a site that uses a security certificate to encrypt data during transmission, but its certificate expired on 06.08.2007 01:59". When I click continue another error is displayed: "You have attempted to establish a connection with "memberservices.passport.net". However, the security certificate presented belongs to "www.passport.net". It is possible, though not unlikely, that someone may be trying to intercept your communication with this web site." There seems to be a problem on Microsoft servers, or maybe this is zhe way MS wants to persuade us to buy a newer version? But who guarantees that that version will work and that I dont pay 50$ for nothing? | It is NOT your machines!!!! It is the web site update that happened on Dec 17th. I have been yelling since then. Read all the other posts. I did the knowledge based article, I reload certificates, they now want me to create a new passport account. When you read what I did with my disks, it is obvious that it is not a local PC problem. |

| I am having a similar problem. My money file suddenly quit recognizing my email and password. They are valid and working elsewhere. I was using Money 2003 and so I went out and bought Money Plus Deluxe but it made no difference. It apparently copied the issue over to my new version. It is very frustrating. Money is MS program and I am using their Password system and it is blocking me. I will pay $35.00 to fix it but it is annoying.
