If changing does not work, it might be because you have a transaction type inappropriate to a Mutual Fund. If you run into a problem, it will be easy enough to solve. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Merlinalexander wrote: > > > > I am updating a 401(k) account with manula entry. > > > All of my contributions are in, and I am updating the purchases. > > > > > When I put the amount of shares as 5.4952 and the price as 4.14, Money > > > returns a calculated value of .23. | Cal, I cannot find a place to change this in the account settings. Do I have to start over with the account? I think you are right that I may have selected bond. Is there a way to change that in the account settings? What you probably did is to set up a bond mutual fund as a bond> All of my contributions are in, and I am updating the purchases. > When I put the amount of shares as 5.4952 and the price as 4.14, Money > returns a calculated value of .23. Try changing the security to a mutual fund in the fund details. |

| I am updating a 401(k) account with manula entry. All of my contributions are in, and I am updating the purchases. When I put the amount of shares as 5.4952 and the price as 4.14, Money returns a calculated value of .23. The correct value should be 22.75. I can adjust by moving either decimal 2 places, but that would be innaccurate. I even tried loading the trial version of Money Deluxe and the calculation error persists. I have two other 401(k) accounts that do not have this calculation error. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this error? I don't want to delete the account and start over if I do not have to, but I want to get the account updated correctly. |
