| Thank-you, I think I've got it right now by following your instructions to delete the splits(I had 2 different dates to add confusion). Then I went back & recorded the split correctly using the correct date & your "44838 sh. for every 53471 sh". Then went back & re-entered the new name & symbol. Updated the share price & now it seems OK! "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, refrigman55 wrote: > > Sorry, but it's still wrong. How does what you got compare to what you wanted? Maybe you have> fund, not the old 1,842.56 shares of the old fund [at] the highrr price. entered two splits for different dates. It sounds as if deleting splits and prices would avoid confusion. Here is how: Go to the investment price history. UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually Look through the table and find the entries in the Source column that say "Stock Split". Delete the existing split. Make sure you don't have two at different dates. Also, delete prices that are already there for that date or after. You can blank the symbol for now, and to the new prices at some point. But for now, don't worry about price if you are going to do the split thing. - quote - > At this

| what if I try the record a split again & show 83.72492 shares for every 100 shares? But, that makes it 1842.56(original shares) x .8372492 = 1542.6818 new share , not the new 1,545.075 share on my statement. "refrigman55" wrote: - quote - > Sorry, but it's still wrong. | Sorry, but it's still wrong. Should wind up with 1,545.075 shares of the new fund, not the old 1,842.56 shares of the old fund [at] the highrr price. At this point should I forget about the capital gain etc. & just do a sell & new purchase somehow? | Thanks, but after applying your new split(before changing any investment details), I'm now back to my 1,842.56 shares [at] the new $15.98/share. What do i do next? Would changing the name & new symbol in details fix the issue? | In trying to use Cal Lerner's technique to record a Mutual Fund merger, I incorrectly entered the NAV exchange values for the split. I think I had them backward. MS money deluxe 2006 won't allow the edit undo function. Is there a way to cancel that split. Need to go from 1,842.56 shares [at] $13.40/share to 1,545.075 shares [at] $15.98/share. Both equal $24,652.06 |
