I don't know if it's still under development, nor can I say what level of support is available. Considering your intent and your church's resources though, I suggest you at least investigate the potential. One benefit for your purpose is that it has (or had) a specific option for non-profit accounting. The originator, Bob Parsons, was active in his church and wrote it to permit that use. I used it for personal finance until online banking came along and it couldn't compete along those lines. MoneyCounts also links to MembershipPlus, I think. That's software for managing groups, pledges, etc. Bob intended it for the church software market. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| I have recently taken the position of treasurer for my small community church. They software they are using is very poor. I would love to use Money, but I am struggling with how to handle "Funds". There are many Funds that people contribute to. Operating Fund, Building Fund, Benevolence Fund, etc. Each fund has a running balance with income and expense accounts. Each has it's own budgets. I have been using Money for about 12 years so I have not kept up with the new versions and options. I have searched the internet and this forum and have not gotten any hits on Church Funds! Is there a way to do this!? My only other concern was payroll, but I see the deluxe home and business version has payroll. Thanks, Joe. |
