Thanks Bert. Typing the complete key into a text file and then copying &
pasting it into the app solved my problem.

However, it then failed to activate and suggested it could be the internet
connection. Turns out you have to be logged in with Administrator priveleges
to get the activation app to connect and work properly. Argh. This has been
the buggiest installation program I've seen in a long long time.
