I began with M2k. Upgraded to M2k4 when my bank gave me a free copy. Was> whatever version you have until MS forces you to upgrade? perfectly happy (well, as happy as anyone can ever be when dealing with an MS product) until online support for M2k4 was discontinued last summer, at which point I upgraded to M+. And have been in a world of pain ever since. |

Agree with Dick. I've been using Money forever and I don't upgrade until> whatever version you have until MS forces you to upgrade? or do you create > a > new file for each year and keep each year for an archive or something? > I don't know what the hell happened with money plus but it has been > nothing > but problems for me and still things just don't work right like they did > before the update right before money plus came out and has been a pain in > my > ass for the last 4 months. I also am a BIG believer in multiple backups in several locations. |

| There is no one good answer to the first question. As to the second, most regulars here would never advise splitting up the data into multiple files. | So is it generaly recommended to never upgrade money and just deal with whatever version you have until MS forces you to upgrade? or do you create a new file for each year and keep each year for an archive or something? I don't know what the hell happened with money plus but it has been nothing but problems for me and still things just don't work right like they did before the update right before money plus came out and has been a pain in my ass for the last 4 months. I just don't feel I should have to put forth the effort every year to correct all this BS. |
