You can't un-accept them and match them to bill payments. You'll have to Skip any payments in Bills Summary that Money missed. Either that, or restore a backup and re-download the transactions. For future downloads, assuming you're not automatically accepting downloaded transactions, you can click to focus on a downloaded transaction. If it's not matched to the bill payment, click the Change button, tick the radio button to match it to another transaction, and then you should get a list of transactions, including current and future bill payments. Click to check the transaction you want to match to, click Done, and then click Accept. Yeah, it's a lot of clicking, but it will mark the payment in Bills Summary as paid. I tend to have the opposite problem: 99% of my transactions are manually entered, but instead of matching the downloaded transaction to the transaction already in the register, Money tries to match it to a future bill payment, and I have to do a bunch of clicking to unmatch it from the bill payment and match it to the register payment. All of this is very hit-or-miss. Money Plus seems to be more aggressive about matching downloaded transactions to the Bills Summary than Money 2004 was, but in my case, that tends to create a lot of extra work for me, as most of my bills have already been entered manually. -- Scott Tyler agent_scotty-at-hotmail-dot-com |

I would like to be able to assign these register entries to a bill payments, and have them count toward the appropriate payment schedules. Is that more clear? Thanks Again |

| Sometimes I pay a bill via the phone or over the internet... how do I ensure that the transaction that I will subsequently download from my bank is applied to the proper bill schedule? Sometimes, Money will ask, "Do you want to apply this payment to the following bill....?" Usually it doesn't. I want to know how to force money to look at a Check Register Transaction as a possible Bill Payment. TIA. |
