Default Re: Bank file download

I have this same problem after upgrading from 2003 to 2004. I have to save
the IMPORT.ofx and import it into money.

How did the previous problem finally get resolved?

Thanks
Dennis

It is in the same folder as msmoney.exe.

Say what version of Money you are using.

I associated the .ofx file type to msmoney.exe. How can I associate that
file type to the "mnyimprt.exe" file? I wasn't able to find that .exe
program to associate it to.

Paste the string that you used to point to mnyimprt.exe into a
reply.

I was able to associate Microsoft Money with the .ofx files, but I'm still
not able to open the file and have Money open automatically. I click "Open"
but it doesn't open up Money or import the file automatically. I have to
save the file and then manually import it. Any additional ideas?

Either
1. restore to a restore point that precedes that install
2. re-install Money
3. change the file association in Windows by...
===========================
Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> FolderOptions-> FileTypes

Select OFX-- Open Financial Exchange File .

Click Advanced. Check Confirm Open After Download unless
you would not like the pop-up box.

See that the "Actions" box contains "Open" in bold. If it is not
bold, you can select Open as the default action by clicking the
Set Default button.

Click Edit.

When you click edit, the application used to perform action
should be similar to the following line:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2004\System\mnyimprt.exe" %1
WITH the quotes, and the %1 after the quote. The path will
differ based on your installation. Modify for your setup.

Application should be mnyimprt with the appropriate path.

Default Bank file download

When I tryo to download my bank transactions (.OFX file format), I'm asked me
if I want to save this file or find a program online to open it. Money was
automatically found in the past, but ever since I downloaded Office
Accounting Express (for a trial), the automatic download in Money isn't
working. Any ideas?

I can save the file to my desktop and then import it into Money, but I'd
like it to automatically download without having to save it.
