| Don't hold your breath. I have had this issue with the previous version of Money also. Microsoft seems to add all kinds of bells and whistles that most people don't use but neglect the basic functions for what the product was desined to do initially. -- John G "Keaggy Freak" wrote: - quote - > I agree whole heartedly and I haven't been able to find a solution to it. > The way it prints up my monthly reports would be good if I wanted to tape all > the pages up on the wall and put them together like a puzzle, but that would > be rather stupid. > Hope they fix the problem soon. > -- > "Only two things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity, and I''''m > still not sure about the former" Einstein > "John G" wrote: > > Thanks for the quick response. > > > But you are right, this is not want I want to do. | I agree whole heartedly and I haven't been able to find a solution to it. The way it prints up my monthly reports would be good if I wanted to tape all the pages up on the wall and put them together like a puzzle, but that would be rather stupid. Hope they fix the problem soon. -- "Only two things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity, and I''''m still not sure about the former" Einstein "John G" wrote: - quote - > Thanks for the quick response. > But you are right, this is not want I want to do. | Thanks for the quick response. But you are right, this is not want I want to do. I am a software developer and I don't inderstand why this is such a big issue with Money. Does the new 2008 version of Money allow this? It is so frustrating with the printing. Every month I print the monthly summary. Some months it is fine, other months it isn't. I think the issue lies with column widths, if a column for that entry has more text, it expands and then prints more on another page. Even if I resize the column, it still doesn't work. The application should print what is on the screen, not what it feels like it. John -- John G "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, John G wrote: > > I have Money 2006. Set that "printer" to landscape mode, or whatever, and print to a file and view it. That way you will not be burning paper and ink. When you get it the way you want it, print to your real printer, and save the customized report as a Favorite. |

| I have Money 2006. How do I get Money to print what I see on the screen for custom reports? For example, I print my monthly check register in a cusom report with some selected columns. Sometimes it prints all the columns on a page (landscape) other times it prints some columns on a second page. I go back to the print screen and change the column widths and it may or may not print on one page. What happened to WYSISWYG? Any ideas/help? -- John G |
