Default RE: Updating Accounts

I have the same issue, on two different computers. And when I exit out of
Money, the proccess MSMONEY.exe stays in memory. This has to be a bug.

I suggest you open any file you can, such as Sample.mny.
In XP, you can do that by going to your Money install folder
and right-clicking Sample.mny, and choosing Open.
Go to Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings and set the
(GeneralDisplayStartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Accoun tList.
Close Money.

Then open the problem file once or twice.

Then Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the
Investment Performance module. If you still have a problem, remove
everything.

Then, from the account list, un-tick
SortAccountListBy-> HideClosedAccounts. See if any accounts show
transactions to read. If so, process the transactions or delete the
statements (right click where it says TransactionsToRead).

Does this improve anything?

It also goes online to seek its own updates. Do you have SSL2 enabled in
Internet Options? Do you have firewall software enabled beyond the XP
firewall? Some firewalls block outbound ports. There are a slew of other
possibilities in this line. BTW, what version of Money did you upgrade from?

Default Updating Accounts

I just upgraded to Money Plus Deluxe (Have XP) When I go into Money it states
its "updating account" and my CPU usage is at 99% when I run Money. There are
NO accounts that are being automatically updated as I do them all manually.
The "updating accounts" icon stays up until I finally have to turn off
computer because I cannot work on any other part of money as it says it is
doing an online function.

PLEASE HELP..
