| Thank you for the explanation! I did work around it by exporting to NotePad, and printing it there. Like you said, it doesn't look like anything, but it worked for this time. I guess I'll have to remember to do multiple shorter invoices if I need to make a long one! hankgentry "MyndPhlyp" wrote: - quote - > "hankgentry" <hankgentry[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:0B95F067-F89C-4868-A39E-16D99341C040[at]microsoft.com... > > I have MS Money 2006 SB, and am trying to make a long invoice (19 pages). > > Everything is fine until I go to print, then it only prints detail on the > > last 4 or 5 pages; all the other pages print just the header information, > but > > no detail. It is usually a sign that the regulars (or perhaps more accurately the irregulars <g> ) simply don't have an answer to the question. Many of the Business users have abandoned the idea of continuing with Money due to M$'s lack of attention to that piece. (I am included in that bunch but I occasionally lurk here to see if I'll be surprised by any new developments. No surprises yet!). With any luck you are comfortable working with HTML and know a few things about testing the output for compliance against w3.org's validation tool. The symptom you describe indicates some really bad HTML -- the IE browser used to generate the output is having problems with the vertical size attributes. (Go figure. M$'s IE having problems with bad M$-generated HTML. Like THAT is something new to the industry.) Personally, I have had nothing but problems using the Money generated report output from the editor. When I took the time to actually craft some excellent HTML in the report template, all the problems went away. M$ has never really done any maintenance in the Business side of the package (with the exception of removing some features) and never bothered to ensure the HTML was W3-compliant. The output is really quite a mess. Cleaning up the various size attributes, CSS, and other areas ensuring consistency throughout the document (plus some restructuring) does wonders when used with modern browsers. The bottom line -- same advice given here over the years for the Business users -- use the report editor to rough out a template and then do the clean-up, tweaking, and compliance work by hand external to Money. You can achieve far better results and have superior control over your design. (My invoices don't look a bit like they were Money generated.) Just remember that using the Money editor on your newly crafted HTML will undo all your efforts. FWIW. HTH. |

| This is a user-to-user support forum and (almost ?) nobody who sticks around here to help uses the * Business * editions of Money. You might consider opening a support case directly with Microsoft. | I have MS Money 2006 SB, and am trying to make a long invoice (19 pages). Everything is fine until I go to print, then it only prints detail on the last 4 or 5 pages; all the other pages print just the header information, but no detail. Is there a limitation on invoice length to print, and if so, how do I overcome the problem???? |
