Default Re: Allocation of shares different from FIFO

I tried what you suggested. I also tried repairing level-2. Still software
uses FIFO automatically without letting me allocate the shares the way I want
it. This problem started only in the last two weeks. Before for the last two
years, I aws able to allocate the shares the way I wanted. Do I have to
uninstall and reinstall the Money ver.6 deluxe software?

And, yes, it is a stock?

I would try toggling the checkbox twice.

If that does not do it, I would try
File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2.

I guess you are sure there were other shares available for sale.

If this is set up as a mutual fund, go to the details of the fund
and select Actual Cost Basis.

If that does not do it, are you in Canada?

Default Allocation of shares different from FIFO

In Ms. Money-2006 deluxe, lately I cannot allocate shares sold to my liking,
since the software automatically allocates FIFO. I did turn off the check
mark in FIFO column in Investment setting.
Any sugesstions? Thanks.
