That is a tool tip. As I mentioned, this does work with Money Plus on Vista. -Mark "stewart" <stewart[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8AFBA988-1DDC-471F-A178-52DD771EE24A[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > "Mark" wrote: > > I know that Money Plus (2008) will show the tool tips when you mouse over > > a > > split on Vista. > Just to confirm - it's not tool tips I've lost. Just to confirm - it's not tool tips I've lost. It's the ability to look at> split on Vista. the entries in a spil transaction just by hovering the mouse over that line - without actually opening it and clicking on split transaction (as if you were going to edit it) If I upgrade, will the feature be there though - does anyone else have Vista? And when you upgrade, do you just load one on top of the old one and all your files are still there?

It "should" still work. But it may be that Money 2002 is not completely compatible with Vista in this regard. I know that Money Plus (2008) will show the tool tips when you mouse over a split on Vista. So, I'd suggest: 1. Consider upgrading. 2. Try setting Money 2002 to run in compatibility mode (don't know if this will help or not though) -Mark "stewart" <stewart[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:BAD21D21-72B2-4DA9-86C5-6DFF2305B879[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > Any offers/suggestions? > I know it's not exactly a 'life threatening' issue as I can still use the > program but I really miss the feature..... pretty please.

I've just re-installed Money 2002 on my new Vista machine. A really handy feature which was always 'just there' on the old XP PC was that if you hovered the mouse over a 'split/multiple categories' entry it showed what the items in there were, without actually clicking and opening the transaction. I can't find how to switch it on with my new installation - anybody know? Many thanks, Stewart.
