| That only works when money has matched the transaction. If money misses a match, how can I say "you should have matched this one and that one". Moeny isn't making a match that it should make. One thing you will probably want to do is to add "Electronic Payment> account. They all show up in my checking register as "Electronic Payment > Credit Card". No last 4 digits or anything to tell them apart. Now, > fortunately, they happen on different days. One is usually the 3rd of the > month, another th 18th or so. But how can I tech Money that the one on the > 19 is for Credit Card A and the other for B? Do I set up a recurring bill? Credit Card" to your Payee Rules Manager. Go to Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> PreferredPayeeNames which shows how downloaded names are translated into Payees. Record the Payee Name Variation(s) shown for "Electronic Payment Credit Card". Delete the entries that reference "Electronic Payment Credit Card". Do the same for other such "payees". Then click on GoToPayeeRulesManager. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check, deposit). Add each word or phrase that was listed as a Payee Name Variation that you recorded. While you are at it, it is usually a good idea to select Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ReplacePayeeNames.... You may want to set Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> AddADescriptionToTheMemoField |

| Is there a way I can manually match transactions (like when Money auto matches, I have the choice to say "these are not the same")...do I have the ability to highlight two on a list in a register and say "These two are the same". That would be very valuable. | No, you are misunderstanding my question. This is not an issue with me paying the credit card bill. The credit card bill is set up for automatic payment of 100% of the balance direcly with the bank (Money has nothing to do with it.) I won't change that. The entry I set up in the Bills area is just to sync up with the autopay when it arrives. My goal is when a "Electronic Payment Credit Card" comes in on the 18th, that Money knows this is my scheduled payment of CC#1. If it comes in on the 5th, it is the regularly scheduled payment of CC#2. For instance, if I use "Credit Card {A}", "Credit Card {B}", "Credit Card {C}", and "Credit Card {D}" as the Payee name in Money, Money will use the full name, ie "Credit Card {A}" in the register. However, all 4 of the credit cards payee names will be sent as "Credit Card" to your bank, without the "{}" in it. |

| So, I have several credit card accounts that all get paid from one checking account. They all show up in my checking register as "Electronic Payment Credit Card". No last 4 digits or anything to tell them apart. Now, fortunately, they happen on different days. One is usually the 3rd of the month, another th 18th or so. But how can I tech Money that the one on the 19 is for Credit Card A and the other for B? Do I set up a recurring bill? |
