| I can't find a way that you do, short of some bogus artificially distinct categories. I'm also struggling to figure out why it matters, what they'd do different with it, and why they even put the choice there in the first place. Even if you tell it you are filing MFS, they never seem to ask enough questions that it matters--they just seem to use the MFS rates. | Still looking for responses to my question, but I think this posting be my answer.... Newsgroups: microsoft.public.money From: "Chris Cowles" <Y...[at]cantfind.meDate: Fri, 21 Dec 2001 09:10:03 -0500 Subject: Re: Tracking husband and spouse income As others have said, you have to have separate income categories (Salary - spouse). After creating it, use the tax line manager to associate it with W-2 (spouse). Since you've already put all of her income transactions in the same category as yours, you can use Find and Replace to search for a particular payee, category, etc., then select any or all payments and change all to a different category. |

| When using the Tax Estimator, and viewing the State Tax Withholding for the year... my tax withholding and my spouse's withholding are both shown in "My" withholding. And if I go to the "Spouse's" withholding, there are no transactions listed. I already track each paycheck's full details. How do I get Money to track my withholding and my spouse's withholding amounts separately? I am using Money Plus Deluxe. |
