Default Re: # of loans - limits?

The limit is probably a HUGE number derived from the overall limit on the
number of accounts. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/171421 cites this as
"unlimited". I'd bet there really is __some__ limit like 2^32 or 2^31 or
some such derived from the handling of keys in the underlying database. The
point of "unlimited" may be that that limit will never be reached before
other limitations make it untenable to go further.)

As to performance implications of having lots of these accounts, I suspect
you will run into other problems with Money trying to do this before
performance or size will become the limiting factor. (I don't think they
really intended that it be used this way and I suspect you will find that
things like how to handle late fees and to track early payments and what is
really an auditable way to calculate finance charges and so on.)

Default # of loans - limits?

We're using Money 2006 Small Business for a small used car lot which carries
the financing for its customers. Currently, we have listed all such loans
under Banking, Account List, etc. Is there a limit to the number of these
loans that we can list? We don't want to 'delete' those loans that are
closed, but have concerns about the amount of space that's available and if
keeping said information will substantially slow down overall access. Thanks
for any insight ...
