All this time, I was downloading from the broker via the UPDATE but for some reason, Avaya never showed up hence me trying to enter it manually. |

I tried the suggestion that you gave, but it still didn't show up. investments that you no longer hold should be gray. What makes you think it was ever in the Money file? Maybe you had not entered it. I was suspecting you had been downloading from the broker. If you can find the original Buy or AddShares of Avaya, you can right-click and go to the investment. Then InvestmentTransactions will show you all of the transactions for Avaya. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Cal Learner-- MVP wrote: > > > > In microsoft.public.money, KR wrote: > > > > > > I've tried recording the spin-off of Avaya from Lucent in Money 2007 Premium > > > > using the RECORD SPECIAL ACTIVITY in Portfolio Manager. | Thank you for the reply, Cal! ![]() 1. I'm aware of the private buyout, but here's the thing: I was lazy and I didn't keep up with recording the transcations of the Lucent account and its various mergers and spinoffs, so I'm trying to play catch-up by entering all of that info (the merger and spinoffs). 2. I tried the suggestion that you gave, but it still didn't show up. In Money, you would want a Sell of that date of all shares to account for the change. If you downloaded a cash transaction instead, Void or Delete that cash transaction. |

They had a private buyout at $17.50. From the Portfolio, tick> using the RECORD SPECIAL ACTIVITY in Portfolio Manager. However, when I go > through all of the steps, Avaya doesn't show up in the Portfolio Manager, > Account Register or Investment Summary. ChangePortfolioView-> ShowClosedPositions. Expand the Avaya, and expect to find a Sell dated recently. If you find a RemoveShares instead, replace it with an appropriate Sell transaction. http://www.avaya.com/gcm/master-usa/.../pr-071026.htm |

| I've tried recording the spin-off of Avaya from Lucent in Money 2007 Premium using the RECORD SPECIAL ACTIVITY in Portfolio Manager. However, when I go through all of the steps, Avaya doesn't show up in the Portfolio Manager, Account Register or Investment Summary. |
