To look at the split history for a stock. Go to the investment> account: > Amer Express AXP 113 for 100 11-3-05 > Disney DIS 101 for 100 6-13-07 > Thanks for mentioning the "fix" but how do you access the bogus stock > split to edit it? PriceHistory. UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually. Look through the table and find the entries in the Source column that say "Stock Split". The first split, going back in time, will be identifiable by the quotes being suffixed with an 'S' for the price. The first may not be the bad one. Note the date of the bad split. It is not necessary to delete it at this point. Click Close. Then UpdatePrices-> RecordASplit. Record a split for the date you noted as a 1 for 1 split. Accept that you are overwriting the existing split. That should inoculate you to a re-download of the bad split for that date-- at least for some versions. Let us know how that works out for you. You might want to post the symbol for the stock and the date of the bad split data. - quote - > On Nov 13, 9:54 am, froggygremblin > <froggygremb...[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: > > This seems to have been an issue since about August. | I'm having the same problem but with other stocks that are in a Schwab account: Amer Express AXP 113 for 100 11-3-05 Disney DIS 101 for 100 6-13-07 Thanks for mentioning the "fix" but how do you access the bogus stock split to edit it? | This seems to have been an issue since about August. For some reason the Quote Provider for Money is downloading phantom stock splits. Here are the latet I've found. Morgan Stanley MS 119 for 100 7/2/2007 Verizon VZ 104 for 100 11/20/2006 Altria MO 132 for 100 4/2/2007 NCR NCR 209 for 100 10/1/2007 ADP ADP 111 for 100 4/2/2007 The "fix" is to replace the bogus split with a 1 for 1 split on the same date by entering a manual share split. This prevents Money form downloading the data again it won't overide your manual split. Until its fixed Maybe we can share our findings in this thread |
