| Just got off the phone with Money 2007 technical support. Here's what they said (sorry, it's not good details, my phone connection was not good & I missed some of it). Apparently, when upgrading from previous versions (I upgraded from Money 2004 Premium), some things can get out of sync. This is interesting to me, as I've been using Money 2007 since February or March and this is the first time I encountered the problem. Some of the accounts (the ones showing up in MSN Money) were the offending accounts having sync issues, which in turn timed out & prevented the other accounts from synchronizing. Here's what tech support had me do: 1. Remove online service for the accounts that were not synchronizing 2. Performed an online update - all other accounts updated fine 3. Create a back-up (in case something goes bad) 4) Enable online service for the accounts that I had removed online service 5) Enabling results in duplicate accounts so I had to merge the accounts So far this is working. I still have 1 or 2 accounts to enable online services again, but I wanted to get off the phone with tech support, so I didn't update these last 2 when I was on the phone. More work to do, but I'm happy that things are now working as they should be. Hope this helps someone out there. | I've been having this problem (accounts not updating) for about 1 week now. 1 week because it's been about 3 - 4 weeks since I last logged onto Money 2007 (last successful update was on 11/11/07). So, the problem could've been around since then. From the comment below (re: IE7), I had updated to IE earlier this week, so I uninstalled IE7 (and associated updates), and Money 2007 still does not update. Quotes, News, and Exchange Rates, and MSN Money My Account Updates apparently are updating, but nothing is being downloaded and updated locally. I have Windows XP SP2 and Money 2007 version 16.0.120.1303 When I log onto MSN Money, it only shows a subset of my accounts (does not list them all). Does Money 2007 sync up with MSN Money? And if so, why don't all my accounts display in MSN Money? What the heck is going on? Do I uninstall and re-install Money 2007? Anyone with similar issues? Thank you in advance for any assistance / insight to what may be occurring. ![]() Maria On Dec 13, 6:29 pm, "Rud Merriam" <k5...[at]arrl.net.net> wrote: - quote - > My accounts are not updating with 2007, either. > I wonder if the IE7 patch downloaded the other day is causing the problem. > -- > Rud K5RUD > ARES AEC Montgomery County, TXhttp://TheHamNetwork.net > "Kid Ego" <cfrays...[at]gmail.com> wrote in message > news:4d4a9d3f-46a1-43c5-b24f-4d82e9ce50fd[at]g30g2000hsb.googlegroups.com... > > On Nov 11, 7:04 pm, Ken <wkch...[at]gmail.com> wrote: > > I have not updated money I've ONLY been using Money 2007, and just > > recently it stopped updating my accounts. | My accounts are not updating with 2007, either. I wonder if the IE7 patch downloaded the other day is causing the problem. -- Rud K5RUD ARES AEC Montgomery County, TX http://TheHamNetwork.net "Kid Ego" <cfraysier[at]gmail.com> wrote in message news:4d4a9d3f-46a1-43c5-b24f-4d82e9ce50fd[at]g30g2000hsb.googlegroups.com... - quote - > On Nov 11, 7:04 pm, Ken <wkch...[at]gmail.com> wrote: > I have not updated money I've ONLY been using Money 2007, and just > recently it stopped updating my accounts. Any other clues? recently it stopped updating my accounts. I've been in contact with my bank to see if they changed something, however they did not. In fact they see money updating, but the program itself isn't completing the job (at least on my end). I've deleted the accounts and added them back, and that DID allow for an update..... ONE TIME. Now I'm stuck in the same predicament. My accounts just will not update. Guess its time to search technet. Casey Fraysier |

| To add to Cal's comments and as a general point, when moving to a new version of Money you don't restore a backup. The procedure is to either do nothing and the new version will find your .mny file and convert that or navigate to the .mny file with Windows Explorer and double click on the file name. This will start Money and convert the old file. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. | My MS Money 2005's online service was expired recently. At the same time I got a new computer, so I installed MS Money 2007(Not Plus) in it. I was able to restore my Money 05(backup file) data to Money 07 without any problem. The problem now is all my banks/credit cards/investments don't update in this new version. I checked all my account status in the "network status" page and all of them return an error of "0", which mean everything is normal. If I log into Moneycentral, I was able to update those account individually with no problem. Is it b/c the online service still think I am using Money 05(from the backup file)? Can anyone shed some light? thanks Ken |
