| Hey wow, thanks, your question actually led me to my own answer. I looked up advanced budget and found a thread that explained how to make one (talk about a pain - why on EARTH would MS make it so hard to do it? I had to type money://navigate/newadvbgt into the navbar?) and it took care of both of my problems. Thanks a ton! | I've tried it with both and had the same problem, but I think I'm going to end up using the essential budget since it looks about the same of what I remember back when I used Money years ago. The 3rd budget setting wouldn't happen to be "Advanced", would it? I noticed in my Cash Flow settings that there's a radio button greyed out that references it (I assume since I'm not using it?), but I couldn't find anywhere in the budget settings to select it. Thanks! "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > There are three distinct budget models in M07. | There are three distinct budget models in M07. How about starting off by telling us which of the three you are trying to use. | I have Money '07 and I'm using it to try to set up a budget. Problem is, it's a little cumbersome to have to go in and retype each category and amount for things such as rent, gas, cell phone charges, etc. when all of that information is currently in the Bills section. Is there a way to get the budget to grab all of those non-variable values and use them so the only thing I have to manually budget is what's left over? Also, it doesn't seem like the cash flow forecaster (not sure if that's what it's called) is considering my budget items - only the items under "Bills". How do I get these 3 elements of MS Money to work together? I seem to rememeber my Money '02ish doing this without a hitch. Thanks in advance! |
