Default Re: Money Plus - Transaction cannot be entered

I wanted to provide an update to the group on this problem. After trying
Cal's suggestions, Money behaved normally, for a while. After some time I
started to randomly get the "Transaction cannot be entered" messages again.
After repairing my money file a number of times over several weeks, I have
discovered the following:

Whenever I get the "Transaction cannot be entered" message, if I just
keep hitting the enter key, the message will eventually go away and the
transaction will in fact get entered. This only seems to happen once per
session, as after the "stuck" transaction goes through, I no longer receive
the message. Sometime it takes up to 10 tries to get the transaction to go
through, but it eventually happens.

Just thought I would pass this along in case anyone else is experiencing
the same problem. Any ideas or suggestions for what to try so as to prevent
those messages in the first place would be greatly appreciated.

I am in the wrong group but there is no other similar group! I have tried
Dell, AOL and Microsft to solve the problem of every few seconds my
MoneyPlus, and before that Money2006, automatically minimizes making it very
difficult to post to my Money program! Basically it minimizes the page
within a few seconds of opening it!
Anyone have a similar problem and/or have found the solution?

At least as a test, I would try File-> Repair-> RemoveAllBillsData
Do this on a copy of your file.

To get some information within the program,
File-> Repair-> RemoveAllBillsData
Read the information. Then click cancel.

Before proceeding, make an extra copy or backup of your file
in case you want to undo something.

If you remove all bills on your actual file, you will probably want
to add at least some of your bills back. This can be done manually
with the aid of the reports that you print out before removing the
bills.

A technique that could help simplify re-entering your bills
afterward would be to go your register and selecting a
representative instance of your past bill and selecting "Make
Recurring" (Ctrl+E). This would be especially helpful if the bill
is complex, such as involving a split.

Default Money Plus - Transaction cannot be entered

I recently converted from Money 2005 to Money Plus (2008). The conversion
went fine and everything was working as expected, for a while. All of a
sudden I started to get the dreaded "This transaction cannot be entered"
message. I did a Level 2 repair, but I still get the messages every so
often. The weird part I discovered is that if I just click "Okay" and then
hit "Enter", the transaction goes into the register. I don't have to
re-type anything, I don't have to start a new transaction, I don't have to
do any kind of repair.

Any thoughts as to what is going on? Suggestions for what I should try?

Thanks,

-Gary
