Thanks! expect only transactions that occurred after the 5 deleted transactions would show up. That's not quite where you are tho. Still, I guess I would see if in the next few days you don't start getting transactions. I seem to remember some postings with similar symptoms a few years ago, but I am not sure. There was a case where a FI was sending back an apparent date that was far in the future that messed things up. But you are probably getting info from at least two FIs with real OFX. And they are not both going to be doing the same things. Your symptoms don't correspond to what I would expect with Vista and putting the Money files into ProgramFiles. You could gather logs (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911941), but interpreting them is difficult. How about buying something on the credit card soon, and see if new transactions come in. And reboot your computer too. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, Charles wrote: > > > > I had the ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound already set from > > > the beginning. | Right, I'll summarize all the steps: 0) Original State: shows transactions to be read:5 and shows todays balance but only the transactions up to Nov 2. The Web Statement of the bank shows cleared what I call 'the new transactions' which are from Nov 5-6, which are 5, as Money correctly states, but they don't show in the account register 1) ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound was already set days ago, so no need to set it up 2) Cleaned up IE temp files, verified in View Files that no files except cookies where in the folder. 3) In Money did QuickRepair of the file. After this it no longer said "Transactions to be read: 5". 4) I did update transactions, it said it update successfully, and did not show that there were any "transaction to be read", but still the new transactions from Nov 5 and 6 cannot be seen. And alternatively, I created a new money file and added the account to it, and in the new file it DID download both old (up to Nov 2) and new (Nov 5 and 6) transactions. No show of "Transactions to be read", though I recreated the file last Friday 2nd too because I had the same problem and by Monday 5th it would not download new transactions as in step 0) Only the first synchronization after a file is newly created seems to get all transactions. Subsequent synchs only get the new balance and number of 'unread' transactions correctly, but the transactions do no appear in register I hope this clearly summarizes the problem. Thanks! | I had the ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound already set from the beginning. I can't right click on Transactions to read because it doesn't say that I have any, but there are. Proof is that I created a new file and created the accounts, and they show the new transactions. I did this before, if I create a new file, the missing new transactions are downloaed, but subsequent new transactions after the first synch are not downloaded. What could it be? Thanks for the fast response anyways ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound Right click where it says you have transactions to read, and select DeleteStatement. Download again. If there are transactions that get missed in the process, enter them by hand. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > > In Internet Explorer delete your IE temporary files with > > Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles or > > Tools-> InternetOptions-> Delete-> DeleteFiles. > > > Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair again. > > > Go to Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and > > select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. | I saw this procedure in another post, and I did it. I deleted the temp files, even checked by pressing "View files" and all I saw was cookies. Then do the quickrepair and the download and now it doesn't say anymore that there are transactions to be read, but still the new transactions are not showing. Is there anything else I can do? Thanks for the fast response anyways "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In Internet Explorer delete your IE temporary files with > Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles or > Tools-> InternetOptions-> Delete-> DeleteFiles. > Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair again. > Go to Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and > select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. | I've been having this problem in which I click to update transactions and Money Plus does so, giving no error, updates the balance correcly, says "Transactions to be read: nn" stating the correct number of new transactions since last synchronization (as checked from the bank web statement), but the new transactions do no show in the account registry. You can click on the message "Transactions to be read: nn" or go to the account list and all you see is the old transactions, with an updated balance. The same transactions appear cleared at the bank website. This happens with both my checking account at Wachovia and my credit cards at other institutions... Only the first synchronization upon installation seems to work, all subsequent fail to show the new transactions. I even went onto the bank website and downloaded the .OFX file, opened with notepad and I can see the new transactions in there, but if I import it, it says 'import successful' and 'new transactions to review' but the transactions do not appear. Same behavior as in automatic synchronization. This is the reason I did not purchase Money 2006 when I evaluated it last year. I'm giving a try to this new Plus one and I hate Quicken, I need Money to work, please help! |
