Check number not coming in right is unusual. Payees.... that can
vary with the provider.

Here is something that may help:
Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting check
ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. Try clicking
MoreDetails to the right of that selection for a description of
what it should do.

I leave the date as downloaded. It is up to you.

The first time, the FI would normally send what is available. The
amount available varies with FI. So there is not something you can
do to say to go back and get the older ones, unless your FI has
statements downloadable from the web site that let you go back
farther.

Default Several Questions from a Newbie

I am new to using Microsoft Money and am using the trial version of Money
Plus. I have several questions:

1. When you download transactions from your financial institution do you
have to edit it them? The check numbers don't come over right and neither
does the payee.

2. Do you enter transactions based on the date that the transaction actually
occurred or do you just leave the date per the bank (cleared date).

3. How do you get older transactions from your financial institution to
download?

Thanks for the help.
