Tools-> InternetOptions-> DeleteFiles or Tools-> InternetOptions-> Delete-> DeleteFiles. Then in Money do File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair again. Go to Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and select ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound. This is a global (inter-file) setting. | Thanks Cal, I wasn't very specific as I believe your response refers to program updates, where as I am having difficulties with bank account updates. (However, I did check off the SSL2 box as you suggested.) I had one successful connection with a bank account, but since all attempts to update have proven futile. Two other accounts won't update, while a credit card account says I have 26 transactions to review but they are not visible in the register. I've restored my daily back up copy to rid these 'errors' until I can confirm updates will work for me in this trial version. The trial was loaded on top of M2004. Also, I'm running WinXP on a virtual machine and did not have any problems when 2004 still allowed me to update my statements. Thanks for any further info you can provide. Lou T. It is not locked.> Can anyone tell me if this feature is 'unlocked' in the trial software? If running Vista, be sure that your Money and backup files are moved to a spot that you will have full privileges to, such as within the user's Documents folder. Check that the SSL2 protocol is enabled. That checkbox is in IE Tools-> InternetOptions-> Advanced. Install Money from the Money Plus by browsing to the setup file. Right-click that file, and choose RunAsAdministrator. After install, right-click the Money icon and choose RunAsAdministrator to let potential updates happen. Reboot the computer. You should not have to run as Administrator normally. |
