| Yes. You will need to run M2008 the first time by right clicking on the desktop icon or the .exe and selecting Run as Administrator. Also you need to have your data file somewhere where you have full access. Program Files is not a good place. If you don't do the latter Money creates an impermanent copy and on closing Money all your changes are lost! -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. When you install and first run, you should right-click the setup or> account and only use the administrator account when absolutely > necessary. regular icon and choose RunAsAdministrator. Otherwise run Money as a regular user with your Money file in your Documents folder. |

| I am thinking of buying Microsoft Money Plus 2008 to use on a computer with Windows XP. I read in the user guide that I must install it with an administrator account, which I would expect. After it is installed, can I import data from Quicken 2006 and use MS Money Plus from a limited user account? The reason I ask is I do all my routine work with a limited user account and only use the administrator account when absolutely necessary. Gerry |
