I can't replicate your symptom in Money Plus or 2007.

You might try resetting the report. If that does not fix it, you
could try Customize-> Rows&Columns-> SubtotalBy:None.

Yes, I'm aware. The view I want and have been using for years is
"Investment Types". Until just a couple of days ago, this would show
Investment A as a single line item, even if Investment A was held in
both a normal and tax deferred account. Now, Investment A is split out
into two line items (non-tax deferred [unlabeled]) and tax deferred).
I would like this displayed as it has been; as a single line item,
combining the returns if held in multiple accounts.

See the Customize-> Rows&Columns-> SubtotalBy drop-down list.

Group by Account Name vs. Investment Type, perhaps?

You say "performance report". Can you be more precise? Are we talking
Portfolio View Performance or See investment reports > Performance by
investment ...?

Default tax deferred investments now seperated from taxed investments in performance report

I'm running Money 2005. In some cases I have the same investment in
both a tax deferred and regular account. Until just a couple of days
ago, when I viewed the performance report, the investment was combined
from account A and account B and so appeared as a single line item.
This was fine with me. However, today when I viewed this report, for
the first time I saw two line items for the same investment, one
normal the other for the tax deferred portion. I like it the previous
way, but cannot figure out how to revert to that in the preferences
settings. Any idea? Not sure what happened to change this; I haven't
mucked with any settings that I'm aware of, perhaps an update was
downloaded to make this "feature" available.
