Try selecting ChangePortfolioView-> ShowClosedPositions
I think there was something weird with that in Money 2005 that was
changed in later versions, but I forget what.

Default Re: Microsoft Money Premium 2005 Portfolio Manager Issue?

....try this and you will make a fortune...if you have friends or
family that need to make some money as well get them in on it
too...just tell them to follow the rules to keep it legal and to pay
it forward to at least 5 people...the more you sign up, the more you
make and the more they sign up the more they and you make......this is
legal and really works...its taking the internet by storm so get in
now and don't miss out...

***as seen on oprah and 20/20****

this is a way to make a fair amount of money with paypal and an
initial investment of $5. if you think about it, it's logical. very
logical. it's pretty much an endless cycle. you don't need a credit
card or anything for paypal.

"this is not a scam, i have done it myself!

can you really make money so easily?

i thought it was impossible. just read this. i don't even have to
convince you that this is not a scam, because it makes logical sense
how you can earn money through paypal.

a little while back, i was browsing through a newsgroup, just like you
are now and came across an article similar to this, that said you
could make thousands of dollars within weeks with only an initial
investment of $5.00! so i thought, "yeah, right, this must be a scam",
but like most of us, i was curious, so i kept reading...

as seen on oprah winfrey! and an article published in the wall street
journal, here is some of it...............
everyone has heard about "paypal" (if you haven't you will soon) and,
when i came across this concept i knew it would work because, as a
member of paypal, i had already experienced their efficiency and
excellent standing. paypal is the simplest method of making and
receiving payments online anyone has ever seen! anyone with an email
address can join, for free! please read further before you go there...

you can complete this whole process in less than one hour and you will
never forget the day
you decided to do so!!! oh! did i say fast? by fast i mean 'the speed
of the internet-type fast.' everything is done on the internet by e-
mail. and, if you abide by the rules, it is not considered spam, so
it's perfectly legal!.

paypal verifies that this $5 investment is 100% legal and is a big hit
this year see their note below or ask them directly...

message from paypal:

"dear member, it has come to our attention that there is a paypal
scheme floating around at the moment you may have heard or seen the $5
scheme. you may have even taken part in it well we have been asked a
lot of questions about this scheme the answer is yes it does work and
yes it is safe to use providing you follow the rules it is legal and
has made a big hit on the internet this year. thank you for using pay
pal."

anyway, it said that you send $1.00 through paypal to each of the
emails stated in the article. you then move each email up one, and add
yours to the bottom i thought about trying it. i figured, what have i
got to lose except $5.00, right? like most of us i was a little
skeptical and a little worried about the legal aspects of it. i found
out that it was in fact 100% safe and legal!!!!
in most of the countries its accepted. then i invested the measly
$5.00. well guess what!!?. within 7 days, i started getting money in
my paypal account! i was shocked and excited! i figured it would end
soon, but the money just kept coming in. i have made a lot of money
through this, it's certainly worth $5.00., i have spent more than that
on the lottery!! let me tell you how this works and most importantly,
why it works? also, make sure you print a copy of this article now, so
you can get the information off of it
as you need it."

requirements:

you must have a verified paypal account. if you do not have an account
you can go to (notice the secure "https" within the link, that means
the site is 100% safe and guarded) . be sure to sign up for a free
premier or business account (and not just a personal account)
otherwise you won't be able to receive credit card payments from other
people. in order to place the initial $5 into your account, you will
have to verify your bank account with paypal (which may take a few
days). paypal is 100% secure and is used by millions of people world
wide.

step 1:

sending paypal money: "it is an undeniable law of the universe that we
must first give in order to receive."

send, through paypal, $1.00 to each email on the below list. make the
subject of the payment "email list" and in the comments, write "please
put me on your email list." (this keeps the program 100% legal...so
please don't forget!). what you are doing is creating a service by
this and best of all you are not giving your address to anyone you do
not know. this is absolutely legal!
the email list:

1) eu_reka123[at]yahoo.ca

2) bearbo663[at]yahoo.ca

3) vickylush[at]yahoo. ca

4) normanlush[at]hotm a i l.c om

5) tyler.cedotal[at]gmail.com

step 2:

now take the 1st email off the list that you see above, move the other
addresses up1 space (5 becomes 4 and 4 becomes 3 and so on.. ) and add
your email address (the one used on the paypal account) as number 5 on
the list. make sure the email you supply is exactly as it appears in
your paypal account.

step 3:

keep this article exactly as it is...the only thing you change is by
removing the first email off the list, moving all others up one place
and placing your email(the one you used for paypal) in the #5
position......... now, post your amended article to newsgroups and
message boards. (i think there are close to 32,000 groups) remember,
the more you post, the more money you make - as well as everyone else
on the list!

here's how it works:

when you post 200 messages all over the internet, it is estimated that
at least 15 people will respond and send you a $1.00. ($15.00). those
15 will post 200 posts each and 225 people send you $1.00 ($225.00)
those 225 people post 200 posts each and 3,375 people send you $1.00
($3,375.00) those 3,375 post 200 posts each and 759,375 people send
you $1.00 ($759,375.00).
at this point your name drops off the list, but so far you have
received $813,615.00. note: i'm not saying this is going to make
everyone 800 grand, but lets say even 1 person out of 200 tries this
program, you are still going to make 50,000 dollars anywhere from 1
month to 6 months max!!!!! you can also copy this letter and email it
to some of your friends and associates, it's a guarantee that some of
them will be interested and give it a go, the more that do the more
you make, i found this to be the best way as you can explain person to
person just how this works!!!only let seriuos people in on this for
the more money they make, the more you will make!!!

---- directions----how to post to newsgroups, message board:

step 1:

copy this entire ad

step 2 :

open a blank 'notepad' file and place your cursor at the top of the
blank page. from the 'edit' menu select 'paste'. this will paste a
copy of the letter into notepad so that you can add your name to the
list.

step 3:

save your new notepad file as a .txt file. if you want to do your
postings in different sittings, you'll always have this file to go
back to.

step 4:

use the internet and try searching for various newsgroups (on-line
forums, message boards, chat sites, discussions.) just example you log
on any search engine like, ,google, altavista, excite then you search
with this subject millionaire message board? or money making message
board? or employment message board? or money making discussions? or
money making forum? or business message board? etc. you will find
thousand & thousand message board. click one by one then you will find
the option post a new message. (some may need registration to post the
message, so just register only in free forums. if they ask to pay you,
don't sign up, simple.)

step 5:

visit these message boards and post this article as a new message by
highlighting the text of this letter and selecting paste from the edit
menu. fill in the subject, this will be the header that everyone sees
as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group,
click the post message button. remember, the more newsgroups and/or
message boards you post in, the more money you will make!! that's it!
you will begin receiving money within days! just make sure the email
you supply is exactly as it appears on paypal.
you're done with your first one.

please do this step by step and it will work for you!!!! many people
have tried to cheat the system in every way possible but have failed
everytime..if anyone tries to cheat this will fail and just be
throwing away $5 ...follow the rules and you will make money
too......congrats!!!!!! try it, we all spend $5 on worse things and i
can almost guarantee that you will spend more than $5 today on
junk...try your $5 at this and you will make a lot of money!!!!!!!!!

Default Microsoft Money Premium 2005 Portfolio Manager Issue?

I'm wondering if this is an issue with 2005 and hopefully this is
fixed in a later release...

It seems 2005 does a poor job of actually calculating returns of
investments - whenever I sell an investment with a gain, it removes it
from Portfolio Manager, but then it lowers my YTD because it is no
longer in my portfolio. It does the same thing in my 401K when I
switch investments - my figures are all really low. Is there
something I'm missing, because I'd like to actually report on my
annual gains etc. etc.?? Any way for Money to actually realize that
new cash has increased because of the sale of investment (since it
still remains in that account to purchase another fund)?

Thanks for the help.
