The problem was that one of the optional "home" page modules was> Does this mean that going forward you cannot perform anymore buy and sell > transactions? If so, isn't that a major problem? crashing. He turned that module off, and the number of transactions is unlimited. - quote - > "Praveen" <Praveen[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:EF5D151E-560A-4902-BA61-9C194150C52C[at]microsoft.com... > > Hi Cal, > > First of all let me thank you soo.....much. | This is a little scary, although maybe I'm misinterpreting the significance. Does this mean that going forward you cannot perform anymore buy and sell transactions? If so, isn't that a major problem? | Hi Cal, First of all let me thank you soo.....much. I had been working on this problem losing all my sleep for the last two days. You indeed hit the problem bang on. The investment performance module was the culprit. It was reaching its limit at a total of 837 buy and sell transactions. Even with a single transaction entry beyond this it was getting saturated. However, I could still add interest, dividend etc but not buy and sell beyond a total of 837. Your solution worked like a miracle and I hope to get some sleep to night. THANK YOU Praveen "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Praveen wrote: > > I have been using money for the last 5 years. Can anyone help me out? In XP, you can do that by going to your Money install folder and right-clicking Sample.mny, and choosing Open. Go to Tools-> Settings-> ProgramSettings and set the (GeneralDisplay StartMoneyWithThisPageOpen:Accoun tList.Close Money. Then open the problem file once or twice. Then Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the Investment Performance module. If you still have a problem, remove everything. If the problem goes away, you can add things back until the crash does not happen. Add back in the other things you want on the home page. Let us know which was the problem module. If that does not stop the error, are you using Norton? |

| I'm guessing there is a problem with one or more shared DLLs. If you have a different machine, you might try your data file and an installation of M+ trial. | I have been using money for the last 5 years. Now I am using Money 2007 and the file size is 9.88MB. Once I start adding investment transactions for the last 15 days, the file is getting corrupted( actually data is intact but the money opens up with a message saying that it has an error because of which it has to close (msvcr80.dll). I tried using the quick repair, standard repair and also upgraded to money 2008 demo version. But was of no avail. I tried adding the last 15 days data to my backup file three times and every time the error was the same. I even tried uninstalling and installing on other computer but still it was of no use. Can anyone help me out? |
