I use a separate asset account which I call "Work Reimbursements Due" and
transfer my outflows into that account. You can exclude the account in your
budget if you wish.

Yes, but the way my job works is that I get reimbursed in a matter of days
so
there's barely any time its out of our accounts. I'd like to be able to see
the reports showing what our actual cost of living breakdown is.

This is the main reason the monthly reports aren't worth much -- you
can't customize them. As you go along, you'll find more and more things
that don't work just right, so you come up with a workaround. The
built-in features assume no workarounds.

There's nothing wrong with this, it's just the way software works. All
software. The developer can't forsee every way that every person lives
his life. I'm speaking from 25 years as a developer and implementer,
here. A "real" computer accounting system is expensive because
_everything_ is customizable -- and has to be customized for each
customer.

Exclude the expense/income categories used for the reimbursable expenses
when you report.

Well, step #1 is they are expenses. They are just offset by income. Many
people struggle because they equate income with taxable income. T'ain't
necessarily so.

Default Reimbursables

I have alot of reimbursable job expenses and can't seem to figure out how to
categorize them in Money Plus Deluxe so that they don't show up on the
monthly reports as expenses. Anyone know how to do this?
