If you had not do the disable-reenable since then, that would explain it. If you had done that then and the problem was new, then I don't know anything you might have done to cause the need to do it again. - quote - > "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: > > In microsoft.public.money, GHM wrote: > > > > I have the same trouble that I've seen several other people have had since > > > 10/10. > > > When I try to download new transactions, the process of "updating accounts" > > > goes on for a long time. | I disabled then enabled online access. That seems to have done the trick. Thank you for your help. Do you have any idea why this error occurred? If there is something I did to cause this, I'd like to avoid it in the future. Not one successfully updates. The results screen > says something along the lines of "account not successfully updated. If this > message appears for more than 5 minutes, try again." process that the July 19, 2007 update called for, see http://www.microsoft.com/Money/Onlin...s/default.mspx Check that your banks are still on the list at http://www.microsoft.com/money/bankonline.aspx Even if you did that process before, and the problem did not occur for you until 10/10, you might try disabling online access for the bank, and setting it up again. You can work with a copy of your file. Also consider logging in with your LiveID at https://moneycentral.msn.com/banking...ts/manage.aspx and see if that page shows any updating. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829143 has some general information, tho it is not specific to third party download. Let us know if something solves it for you. - quote - > The weird thing is that I have a file of my personal accounts, held at the > same banks as my family accounts, and they all update just fine. | I have the same trouble that I've seen several other people have had since 10/10. When I try to download new transactions, the process of "updating accounts" goes on for a long time. Not one successfully updates. The results screen says something along the lines of "account not successfully updated. If this message appears for more than 5 minutes, try again." The weird thing is that I have a file of my personal accounts, held at the same banks as my family accounts, and they all update just fine. This file had no problems until recently. I have tried to repair the file (the log reports no problems needed fixing), delete temp files, add a new account, reboot the machine, restore file from backup (same problem occurs with backup too)... a few other things too that I cant remember just now. I think I have read and tried to follow every suggestion for fixing update problems with Money 2007. I look forward to any suggestions you have. Apologies for not being more specific earlier. You prolly get sick of poking people to give you enough info to work with.
