| Thank you both very much. With the additional information you both provided, I found and deleted the bogus 132:100 split and then added my own bogus 1:1 split for the same day. Now the stock and fund quotes complete without distorting my positions. Not what I would consider an elegant solution but hey - it works ! Thanks again to both of you. | Not sure what more I can say. Just look at Altria's price history and you will see a 132 to 100 stock split entry for 4/2/2007. It is downloaded when you do an update. Just remove the entry and all will be ok until you do another update. MS is aware of the problem and trying to fix it. "Rapid Robert" wrote: - quote - > Thanks for your help. | Hi, Not sure what more I can say. Just look at your price history for Altria. On 4/2/07 you will see a 132 for 100 stock split entry. It was downloaded when you did your update. | Thanks for your help. My issue may be related but I don't think it's the same problem you described. There has been no split of my MO shares since I purchased them 03/25/2003. However, there was a spin-off of Kraft Foods (symbol KFT) from MO at 03/30/2007. Before the erroneous MS Money stock and fund quotes update yesterday, the original MO purchase transaction was shown with the correct original number of shares, price, commission and total. After the update, no transactions had been added but the MO purchase had been changed as follows: Quantity increased from 300 to 396, Price decreased from 33.19 to 25.143939, Commission and Total unchanged. By the way, I realized I have Money 2006 Deluxe not Money 2007 Deluxe if that makes a difference. Do you think this is the same problem? Should I try to change the purhase transaction back to the correct Quantity and Price and hope for the best? (That makes me a little nervous !) Should I try to wait on any further MS Money stock and fund quotes until the problem is fixed? Any further word on when the fix might be ready? Or any other ideas? Thanks again for any help. | This has been an ongoing problem for the past couple of weeks with several investments. The problem is the price update download adds a split in the price history. Look back over the price history for the split and remove it. Support is working on the problem but couldn't trell me a fix date. "Rapid Robert" wrote: - quote - > MS Money 2007 Deluxe. | MS Money 2007 Deluxe. Yesterday, Altria Group (symbol MO) reported earnings. Today when I run "Update stock and fund quotes, news, and exchange rates" the number of shares of MO in all three of our accounts are arbitrarily and incorrectly increased by exactly 32%. If I view details, I see the message "The positions reported on the 10/17/2007 statement don't match those in your Money account." and Money offers to generate a transaction to remove the additional shares. I have used one or another version of Money for years and I've performed the update almost daily all that time. I've never seen this before and I've changed nothing. What could have happened and how can I fix it? |
