I show 12.6 Meg at the moment for msmoney.exe, but maybe one of the> 3. On average how much of CPU and memory will Money Plus consume? svchost instances was started by Money. Time is usually near zero, but will go to near 100% for a bit on my single core processors at times, particularly on exit while compressing a backup. Plus is a little faster than Money 2005, and slower than Money 2004. - quote - > Again thank you! |

| I am considering upgrade to Money Plus (Money 2008?). However I have up to now read more negative than positive feedback comments. Two negative points among other things particularly got my attention: 1. Bloated program and more sluggish performance 2. More annoying background updates and downloads I am no fan of either of these. Due to expired Money online services, I want to upgrade to Money Plus. Nevertheless, I don't want to end up with even worse version of Money. Can you convince me it is worth it? ********Background: How I use Money and preferences******** I use Microsoft Money for basic record keeping - downloading bank and credit card statements on demand but nothing really more. Previously I have used Money 2003 and 2005 Home and Business. My Money online service subscription has run out. I am thinking about upgrade to Money Plus (or 2008?) so I won't end up with manually inputting all transactions. The upgrade will be a clean install on Windows XP Pro SP2. I always try to stay away from bloated software upgrades with few useful new features and lots of extraneous ones. Whenever I upgrade I seriously consider any possible trade-off between performance and features, and often I value performance more than new features. Thanks for advising? |
