Thanks for the help. I did what you said. I have isolated the problem to
the Spending Tracker. If I remove that from the home page, then things run
normally. However, I would really like to have the spending tracker as part
of my home page, as I find that quite useful. Also, the problem still occurs
if I go to “Budget” and then manually choose Spending tracker.

So bottom line is – I have isolated and mitigated the problem, but I would
like a permanent solution. Any tips or thoughts as to why the spending
tracker would be choking like this?

That should speed up your starting, since it sounds as if the
"home" page is probably associated with the slowness.

Then Tools-> Settings-> HomePageDisplayOptions and Remove the
BillsAndDeposits and SpendingTracker modules. If you still have a
problem when you go to the "home" page, remove all modules. If the
problem goes away, you can add things back until the crash does not
happen. Add back in the other things you want on the home page.
Let us know which was the problem module.

Hi -- I downloaded the trial version of Money 2007 last summer. It worked
fine. when my 90 days were up, I purchased the new "Plus" version and
imported my file. Now the "plus" version runs very slow. Sometimes at
startup, it hangs and I have to ctrl-alt-del. Usually it will come out of
the hang up after about 3-5 minutes. But still that is not normal. Then,
especially, when I go to the spending tracker, the same hang up occurs for
another minute or two. On the previous version, it was pretty much
instantaneous. Any ideas what would cause this?

If it can't be fixed, is there a 2007 version I can download and can I use
my license key on that version? It just want a version that is usable.
