If that does not work, close Money. In Windows Explorer, open the
second-newest version of the backup of the problem file. Right-click
that file and choose Open to launch Money and restore that file. I
might choose a new name for the repaired file by browsing to your
MyDocuments folder and typing in the new name during the restore
process.

Thank you for the suggestion. :-) That file does not exist in the folder.

Any other ideas?

There may be some better suggestions, but, in the meantime, see if
there is a file in the same folder as your "xxx.mny" file called
"xxx.lrd". If there is, you may want to try closing Money Plus and
renaming this file "xxx.lrd.old". Then see if you can re-open Money
Plus and your "xxx.mny" file.

I've seen posts that say its OK to delete the "lrd" file with Money
closed, but it might be better to see if you can rename it in case you
need to restore it to its original name.

I have two mny accounts in money plus trial. I can open mny file A. When I
click to open mny file b, I am asked to type my windows live id and password,
which are pre-filled form fields. I click "Sign In"

When it tries to sign in, it stops and says, "Money has detected that you
did not close the file "xxx.mny" before exiting. Money now needs to verify
the informationin your file. Do you want to do this now? ..."

I click "yes" do it now and it says " the email address or password is
incorrect. Try again." Well, I've been trying again for hours. And
reading. And trying.

1. I tested connection. I am on a clearwire wireless connection. It's
fine. And in Money, the connection test I ran on the other file worked fine.
2. I have opened this file with this username and password many times.
3. I logged on at microsoft money web site and logged out. All worked fine
there.
4. Register the Msxml3.dll file --> done
5. Money is functioning properly when using other files or creating new files.
6. When I went to the program files and tried to do a file repair, the
program said the file was password protected. I could not do the repair.
7. I tried to use my backup file. It asked for the live id password. I
was back at square one.

What in heaven's name do I do???
