If you had a backup from last week, you could consider restoring that to a new filename. I suspect it is to late for that, but maybe you have a backup on a USB flash drive, or even floppies, of a suitable time. If the repairs or restores don't solve it, I would consider a QIF export and then import into a new file. http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;178830 |

| I've been using an oem copy of MS Money 2003, and until now i've preferred it over quicken. Today i wanted to check a granaction from 2006, and when i scrolled up to the top of my register, i saw that all tranactions prior to january of 2007 are GONE! Starting to get a little nervous, I did a FIND, searched for the payee, and found transactions all the way back to 2005. So they are in the database somewhere. I don't remember archiving out any tranactions. I searched my hard drive to find all money files, and didn't find anything i didn't recognize. I tried the VIEW All Transactions selection, set it to all dates, and they didn't show up. I saved the file to a duplicate, took it over to a new vista machine that has a brand new trial version of money. Same results - no transactions visible before the beginning of the year. (So it's not a user interface / preferance setting) Maybe it's HALOWEEN coming up? I hate SCARY PROGRAMS, especially when they're trying to spook my bank account! Can anyone help me with this? Is there some way I can extract the missing data, that is in there somewhere? Any help is appreciated. mark C. Phoenix |
