If the updates are still slow in the new file there may be something on your computer that is causing this issue - I would recommend resetting IE 7 and disable or uninstall the security software. If the online updates work fine in the new file but not in the original file, try turning off and then on the online services for the accounts in the manage online services section. If the updates are still slow, I would recommend using the new Money data file and exporting and importing the account information from the old file. |

| Unfortunately uninstalling and reinstalling the Microsoft Money software will not resolve this issue with constant "update in progress". This is likely a problem related to conflicting data on the MSN Money website / Money. |

| Ditto everyone else's comments re sudden change ~ mid-Oct with constant "Update in Progress" (but no updating). Have done complete deinstalls and reinstalls of 2007 Money Deluxe, running under XP. Ditto been in computers and SW since early 80's. When will MS announce what they did and publish a notice (and perhaps apology) to customers? | These instructions are not correct for MS Money 2007 Premium. After "Tool", "Settings" there is NO "Access Your Money Data on the Web" option. I am so tired of wasting my time with MS products. I just want to USE the product, not spend hours trying to get it to work after MS has BROKEN it (which, of course, they never acknowledge) I have worked as an IT professional and used MS products since the early 1980's, but I'm done. Next machine is a Mac. | I think I spoke too early - it worked by setting the proxy server - few hours later, I still have the same issue update in progress but no progress. I made the mistake of purchasing the Money Plus, I should have rather tested out with a trial version first. | Huh? I was able to run money 2007 before I downloaded Money Plus. I was not able to run updates on Money 2007, that's why I thought I'd try the trial. | I have the exact same problem. Updates stopped working for me after Wednesday the 10th of October. I was using Money 2007. I follishly downloaded the Money Plus 30 day trial to see if anything would improve. I did not. Same problem. I am running XP SP2. Note that Money had been running for years (various releases) and this problem did not occur. Was something changed at MS in the last couple of days? ALL of my accounts have this issue. Changing SSL2, rebooting, etc. have not changed things. I sure would like an answer.
