I would contact support.microsoft.com/money to see if they have a
different idea. Have your serial number from Help-> About handy. That
is the ID you will need.

Thanks again Cal,

I've got a few backups. I forgot to mention that I tried that. When I
disable online services, it gives me a warning about disabling but when I
click OK to proceed, nothing happens :-(

Keep an extra copy or backup of your file in case you want to undo
something.

Then I would disable the accounts for online access. Do whatever
deleting you want. Then enable the accounts for online access.

The old accounts may come back if the credit union is still sending
the info. Just delete the contents and close the accounts again.
Merge as desired.

Hi Cal,

I've tried repairing, it doesn't help and doesn't report any errors.

The 'active' of the three CU accounts no longer receives updates (MS money
alerted me that that was happening 3 months back) but there is now a new CU
entry that I can connect to, but I cannot unlink the active one from the old
online service to link it with the new service. I don't mind leaving the
other two obsolete accounts 'closed' but I feel like they are part of the
problem.

Any other ideas?

Other accounts delete fine BTW.

In Account List un-tick SortAccountListBy-> HideClosedAccounts to see
them

Do you have open accounts at that CU? If not, you might have better
luck by changing the accounts as not closed, and then work on them.

Merge is for an online and a non-online account.

Merge is for an online and a non-online account. Try disabling the
old one for online access.

You also might want to try File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair.

File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2 might be worth a
try too.

Default Can't Delete An Account

I have a bunch of problems with a credit union:

1 - I have two old accounts that are linked to the online service but are
obsolete. They are hidden, but I can't delete them (no error message) and I
can't disable the online services for them. What can I do to make them go
away?

2 - I have a functional CU account but, back in july, some changes to Money
prevented it from being able to be updated online in the future. This account
has 300 transactions (mostly transfer deposits from a paycheck). I'd like to
merge this account into:

3 - I have created a new CU account that is able to download transactions.
However, it will not show up as able to be merged with #2.

Any thoughts on how to fix these account problems? Everything else works fine.
