Largely, but since each broker has a particular period where you
download back in time to, you would miss the older ones if you start
a new file on the regular computer. If you ran the trial for a month
or two, that would be a bigger factor.

There is a better option. You will instead want to copy the *.mny
Money file (and maybe your most recent *.mbf backup files) from your
test computer to the regular one. That way you will not only have
the info that is downloaded, but you will have any categories or
other info that you entered into your Money file.

You probably want Deluxe, and you probably don't want Essentials.

Default Re: Testing Money Plus

I would assume that while you are testing Plus on a second pc that you are
continuing to keep your present version up to date on your current pc.
Hence the transactions would be on the new PC.

Your testing and other strategies would dictate how you would transition the
test situation into your live application. You could use the registry key
update (previously described in this group) prior to each execution of plus
to capture all of the downloads but that appears to be the hard way to
perform your final upgrade. It seems your simpler options are:
1) continue updating your present version and then when you load plus onto
your production machine perform the update and continue.
2) if you are only updating the test version of plus then when you load plus
on your production machine move the money file from your present machine.

Default Testing Money Plus

I plan on downloading the free trial of Money Plus and testing it for a few
days on an old PC that I have.

If I download my broker statements as part of the test will I be able to
re-download those same transactions when I install Money Plus on my primary
PC?

Thanks,
Don
