| Good luck to all of you, but after spending hours and hours on this, I'm firing MS Money as my personal finance software. I've been a loyal user and advocate since the late nineties, purchasing nearly every upgrade, but something has happened in the last couple of upgrades that is leaving me stranded. Now I can't even open my file. It says that the password is incorrect...no it's not. And yes, I have searched for answers to that issue and see that there are many (far too many) possible solutions to a problem that just shouldn't exist. At this point I need to stop trying to fix this software and go out and make some MONEY. I'm searching for simpler alternatives. Although, not Quicken, since it was exasperation with Quicken back in the early days that led me to try MS Money! | I am having the same problem, when I select report annual budget it never returns a report. Task manager says money is not responding. I have tried level 2 repair, deleting bills, reinstalling IE7 but no change. This is getting frustrating. I will try it with the sample file next. | Thanks, I tried all of the above, but didn't do the trick. However, I notice that at the upper right of the screen it says "updating your accounts" while it's trying to load the report. Also the date range selector at the bottom won't stay open long enough to change the range. It just opens and closes right away. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software at least a half-dozen times. | When I try to get a monthly report or a report of spending by category, the screen just says "loading" but never produces the report even after a very long time. I'm using MoneyPlus Deluxe, but I had the very same problem with Money 2007. |
